My coworker had her eyebrows tattooed and they’re black! I don’t want black eyebrows!

During your consultation we will discuss color, shape and texture (hair stroke or solid brow depending on your preference) prior to any tattooing. Food for thought, it is extremely rare that black eyebrows are ever done or requested for that matter.

I’m so excited to get my eyebrows done so I can go water skiing tomorrow?!

Permanent makeup is a misnomer! It should really be called semi-permanent. With that said there is maintenance involved. It is highly recommended you get a touch-up once a year for the first 2-3 years. Everyone’s skin is different. Some clients get touch-ups once every 2 years while others will need it once a year. You can also come in every 6 months is you desire to.

What if I change my mind after I’ve had a procedure?

Its easy to add color but harder to take it away. The color (pigment) can be adjusted (within reason). Pigment will always settle in the dermis of the skin. Over time it will fade however, it never really goes away. Communication is paramount! Discussing your expectations thoroughly will insure we come to a favorable agreement for you.

Why get permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is an innovative technique of inserting pigments into the dermal layer of skin. This revolutionary technique is medically proven and designed to be completely safe. Little or no time to apply makeup, cost of cosmetics, unskilled at applying makeup, oily skin (makeup doesn’t stay put), active and or athletic lifestyle, poor eyesight, arthritis, scar camouflage.

What are the immediate results?

The results you can expect are enhanced features of the face—definition is given to eyebrows, eyes and lips by the use of colors (pigments), which when healed can imitate topically applied cosmetics or can be quite unnoticeable, depending upon the design, color value and amount of pigment used as well as the individuals skin color and type.

Initially, permanent makeup results may look darker (1st week). This is due to color remaining in the outermost epidermal layers of skin in the beginning. Colors begin to soften during the healing process as the upper layers of epidermis slough and are replaced by new epidermal cells.

What are the long term results?

Color results can last for several years and/or may begin to fade over time. How much time depends on the individual person. While pigment remains in the dermis its beauty-span may be influenced by several possible factors.

This can be environmental, procedural and/or individual factors. Sun exposure fades and changes color the fastest. The amount and color of pigment deposit at the dermal level can affect the length of time that permanent makeup looks its best. Individual influences include lifestyles that find an individual in the sun regularly such as with gardening or swimming. Skin tones are a factor in color changes over time as well. For this reason a touch-up is advisable every year to maintain color, shape and clarity. So make sure to get your touch-ups once a year!
